Every site’s IP, WHOIS, DNS and risk score. One click away.
Open the popup on any page and see where it is hosted, who registered it, what its DNS says and how risky its address looks. Your own IP is in there too. Free, no account, and it only runs when you open it.
Also installs in Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi. Version 1.4.1.1.
Browser extensions install on desktop only. Open this page on your computer to add it.
The whole toolbox, in your toolbar
Five tabs in a popup the size of a business card, backed by the same in-house data as every tool on this site.
Where this site really lives
IP address, city and country, ISP, ASN and reverse DNS of the page you are on, the moment you open the popup.
WHOIS without the detour
Registrar, creation and expiry dates, name servers and status flags for the domain, parsed into a clean card with the raw record one tap away.
DNS records in the tab
A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT and more for the current domain. Handy when you are debugging a deploy or checking who handles a site's mail.
Fraud score at a glance
The same 0-100 risk score as our Fraud Score tool: VPN, proxy, Tor, datacenter and threat-feed signals combined into one number with the reasons listed.
Your own IP, always one click
A My IP tab shows your public IPv4 and IPv6, location, ISP and connection flags, so you can check a VPN switched on without leaving the page.
Right-click to look anything up
Select an IP or domain in any page, or right-click a link, and choose "Lookup on IPAddress.to" from the context menu.
Install once, use everywhere
- 1
Add it from your browser’s store
One click in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. No signup, no settings to fill in.
- 2
Pin the icon
Pin IPAddress.to to your toolbar so it is always one click away. Pinning is optional; the popup also opens from the extensions menu.
- 3
Open it on any site
The popup looks up the current tab instantly. Switch tabs for WHOIS, DNS and the fraud score, or hit My IP to check your own connection.
It does nothing until you open it
The extension has no content scripts and does not watch your browsing. When you click the icon it reads the hostname of the active tab and asks our API about it. That is the whole data flow.
- Permissions: active tab, tabs, context menus, clipboard write. Nothing else.
- No accounts, no tracking IDs, no analytics inside the extension.
- Same data as the website. Every result comes from our own geolocation, network and reputation data. No third-party lookups.
- Local pages stay local. Browser pages, localhost and private network addresses are never sent anywhere.
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. There is no trial, no paid tier and no account. It runs on the same free JSON API that powers this website, so heavy use follows the same fair-use limits as the API.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome and Firefox on desktop. The Chrome Web Store build also installs in Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi, since they share the same extension platform. Safari and mobile browsers are not supported.
Does it work on every page?
On every normal website, yes. Browser internal pages, localhost and private network addresses cannot be looked up, but the My IP tab still works there.
How is the fraud score calculated?
It is the same score as the Fraud Score tool: VPN, proxy and Tor detection, datacenter and hosting ranges, threat-intel feeds and network classification combined into a 0-100 number. How IP fraud scores work explains the bands.
